French literature on the Kindle

As of October 2009, the Amazon Kindle is now available for international readers. Among the huge range of titles available electronically at a fraction of the print price are a number of works of French literature. Many are available in both English translation and the original French.

When looking for titles, some tips to bear in mind:

• works tend to be the English translation, unless "French Edition" is specified in the title;
• in any case, in the Product Details section, be sure to check the language before you purchase;
• if you are searching for a particular title, it is also worth doing an author search: you might find that there is a bundle available that includes both the book you were searching for plus some extras.
